Church Building Renovation Update

As decided by the Capital Building Improvement Committee a raffle sale is being conducted to raise funds for the church renovation project. The prayer group leaders will be distributing booklets of ten tickets to individual families. Cost of each coupon is $ 10. All members families are expected to sell at least one booklet to your friends and relatives that are not members of St. Johns Church. The drawing will be conducted on the day of the dedication of our church and there are several attractive prizes for the winners. The church thanks the sponsors for their generous donation and ask all to co-operate in the raffle sale.

Pre-qualification bids are being accepted for the renovation of our Church. Please check www.stjohns-marthomachurch.org/renovation for further details.

Mission Projects
Baalika Bhavan, Pallipad- A donation of $125.00 takes care of the needs of the girls for one year. Please contact Mr. Abraham Kuruvilla if you are interested in sponsoring a child this year.
St. Mathews Mar Thoma Church, Aalapra- Our sister parish is the St. Mathews Mar Thoma Church in Aalapra. If any one wishes to assist the families in the sister parish, please contact the trustees.

Subscription & Dues
Subscription - $50 per family per month
Recessa - Mar Thoma church membership fee $1.00/adult.
Building Fund - General Body decision of $5000.00/family
Self Denial - contribution at the time of Lent

Diocesan Fund - $125/family; pays for the Diocese mission activities and
the salary of the Youth Chaplain
Parish Day - Due on Parish Day. Set at 1-days family income
Thanksgiving - An item to the auction or $25/ family
Others - Birthday, Wedding Anniversary donations, Good
Samaritan Fund, Baalika Bhavan, Marriage offertory
and Christmas Offertory.

Last day to pay your dues to the church for it to be included in this year’s annual report is December 31, 2008
